Carnegie Free Library is hiring a director. Candidate must be a state certified librarian with a degree in Library Science as mandated by the state Library Code. Experience would be helpful but not required if certification is obtained. The Librarian would be responsible for managing a $200,000 budget of a non-profit independent Carnegie Library. A financial background with budgeting and grant writing experience would be a plus. Additionally, the candidate would be responsible for the Human Resource functions of an additional 4 to 6 employees. Duties would include the supervision of all employees, the fiscal stability of the Library, as well as public relations with the local community. The Head Librarian will report directly to the Library Board of Trustees. Salary and health benefits will be maintained and will be negotiable depending on experience. Apply on Career Link.
